The road surface here is in a terrible state, especially by goods entrance for Pen Y Bryn, and also at junction of Wentworth road. Large holes cross the entire width of the west bound lane, causing drivers to brake suddenly and swerve to avoid them.

Station Road, Colwyn Bay is a pedestrianised zone and the signs at the entrance quite clearly state that no vehicles of any sort are allowed there between 11am and 4pm. Despite this at 1pm today I counted a total of FIFTEEN vehicles parked illegally within the pedestrianised zone. Two minutes prior to reaching Station Road I passed a parking enforcement officer patrolling on Penrhyn Road. Whilst it may be the case that motorists occasionally overstay their allocated time by a few minutes this is something that is never going to cause an accident or injure pedestrians. Driving through a pedestrianised zone in order to illegally park on the other hand is extremely reckless and liable to result in death or injury. Could parking enforcement officers please therefore be asked to patrol Station Road as well as Penrhyn Road. If nothing else this will generate substantial addition income to the council. The officer didn't appear to have issued a single ticket on Penrhyn Road but could have issued fifteen on Station Road!

Yet again the bollards protecting the pedestrianised zone on Station Road, Colwyn Bay are out of action and yet again motorists are taking advantage to illegally drive through and park in the pedestrianised zone. At lunchtime today I was nearly hit by two seperate cars which turned into Station Road at high speed but would have been prevented from doing so if the bollards were working. This is an accident waiting to happen.

I have reported this problem to the Highways dept and the warden at Llys Dewi Sant, cars are parking where there are dropped kerbs for wheel chair access and for ambulance and paramedics access, I have put 2 cones there to try stop vehicles parking but they are getting removed by people parking their cars, on several occasions I have had to move my car for the paramedics to get access to the ambulance with their patient on a stretcher waiting for a car to be moved, there are no markings on the road so motorists are unaware of the dropped kerbs until it is pointed out to them some are understanding and will move but the majority refuse to move and then get angry and insulting, it not the residents that are the problem its visitors and tradesmen, please please put some marker of some sort there it's a 10 minute job, regards Bill Williams.
